Micrographics
Our document scanning services for micrographics is unmatched - the result of over 30 years of working with micrographic media. Our microfilm laboratory has converted hundreds of millions of images from microfilm, microfiche and aperture cards.
Microfiche digital scanning
Microfiche conversion is similar to microfilm for all of the steps above except scanning. Since microfiche are individually scanned, this portion of the conversion requires more time than roll film.
Each microfiche can vary in format, we are setup to convert a wide variety of options.
We convert jacketed fiche filmed at various reduction ratios in both simplex and duplex modes. Multiple reduction ratios can exist on one fiche.
We process Computer Output Microfiche (COM) containing standardized grids including ultra high reduction ratios.
We process large single-image fiche containing maps or other large graphic images in grayscale, color or black and white.
Film Slides
We scan all types of film; both negative and positive. Our capabilities include 35mm. and 70mm. slide collections, entire microfiche and up to 8 1/2 X 11 inch transparencies. The color or grayscale scanned images are categorized and indexed then formatted to meet any client need.
Onsite Services
All of our micrographic conversion services are available as digital conversions at client sites.
Since micrographic conversion equipment is complex and setting up a mini-network at a client's location requires considerable resources, the cost of conversions onsite are several times those of conversion at microMEDIA in New York.
