It's not necessary to setup your own department, equipment, software and management for a cost-effective imaging solution. We analyze the target area and recommend an electronic workflow consistent with the organization's goals. Actual operations can be performed onsite through our facilities management services or documents can be converted at our location.
We convert items as small as credit card receipts or as large as oversize maps and blueprints. We have wide experience with difficult paper such as tissue or color copies and two-sided documents. Our range of specialized scanners permit us to always apply the specific equipment for a large backfile conversion or ongoing daily conversions. All valuable and fragile papers are evaluated and processed to assure proper care and accurate conversion

Solutions to convert backfile documents
microMEDIA's backfile scanning and conversion services are provided to offer a fully electronic system, instead of just digitizing current files. This eliminates continuing with two systems: paper historical and digital current.
Our large number of scanners and employees can rapidly convert very large quantities of documents on a one-time basis. Outsourcing a backfile conversion avoids the equipment, personnel and ramp up costs that would otherwise be needed to do the job internally.
The output from the backfile will be formatted to be completely compatible withthe ongoing process.
Archival solutions
Historical documents can also be converted as a separate application, perhaps creating appropriate Adobe PDF files for stand-alone access. We have done many projects of this type for Newspapers, Magazines, Technical Reports, Project Files and other types of files that may have archival or research import.
We convert fragile archival documents and bound volumes with meticulous professional handling to maintain document integrity. For old books and pamphlets, we use special purpose book cradles to avoid harming book spines. Depending upon the condition of the documents, we scan directly to digital form or microfilm the items and then scan the film. Our services are utilized by leading libraries, archives and universities.
