For very high volume applications, the key to reading a myriad of forms is Optical Character Recognition (OCR). The computer system's software is designed to translate images of machine printed or typewritten text into machine-editable information. When an invoice or a form is scanned it is transformed into a digital image, which the OCR software can process. It is from this transformation that the system can capture, interpret, verify and transfer information, regardless of source and destination.
Readsoft software can recognize new incoming invoice forms and figure out which fields to interpret. The automated invoice flow creates huge savings in time (fewer lost discounts) and resources (dramatically reduced manual data entry). Data quality is raised since the possibility of human errors is minimized.
